A Police officer who shot dead three people in Kamwenge District acted on his own

A Police officer who shot dead three people in Kamwenge District on Saturday acted on his own and will be charged as a measure to others who intend to do the same acts.

Police Constable Nuwagaba Saul who is currently in police cells is alleged to have shot dead  Tuhaise Richard 28 years, Friday Innocent 38 years residents of Bunoga village Kinoni Parish Busiraba sub-county in Kamwenge District, and Baseka Sam 18 years resident of Bwizi village Nkoma- Katalyeba town council in Kamwenge District.

It’s alleged that PC Nuwagaba had a misunderstanding with Tuhaise and Friday over a bar attendant whom the three were in love with. It’s at that point the three  (  the two deceased and police officer) separated ways and the policeman came back with the gun UG shot instantly the three people.

According to Twesige Vincent, the Rwenzori West Police Spokesperson says Nuwagaba’s file has been taken to the state attorney waiting to be sanctioned.

He says with the 2019 Enforcement Act, every police officer who commits a crime is individually liable adding that with this, CP Nuwagaba will be charged on three murder counts!
