Police Officer Arrested over Shooting Civilian.

Police in Kyenjojo District is holding one of its officers for
shooting a resident.
Corporal Byaruhanga Denis attached to Kyarusozi Police is accused of
shooting Tomas Tibeyalirwa a resident of Kyarusozi Town Council in the
stomach on Sunday evening at around 2pm under unclear circumstances.
On the fateful day, Tibeyalirwa was coming from the clinic with his
wife and child.
The Rwenzori West Police Spokesperson ASP Twesige Vincent confirms
that Corporal Byaruhanga is detained whereas Tibeyalirwa is nursing
wounds at Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital. He says the officer
will be charged with attempted murder as investigations continue.
