Leave politics out of supporting flood victims says RDC Kasese.

Deputy RDC Kasese district Mr. Masereka Joshua has asked people to leave politics out of supporting flood victims that are living in camps.

Masereka said this yesterday in the verification process on the numbers of flood victims living in camps as opposition leaders are misleading people to stay in camps so that the government can help them and if fails they will use it in political campaigns to change the people from government to opposition.

He also warned camp commanders over giving false information about flood victims and overwhelming their numbers.

He disclosed that people should o back to their homes so that the government can help them from their as it is not able to sustain that number in camps.

Flood victims are now worried over sending them away from camps as they lost everything including parents.

They added that the decision of vacating them is unnecessary because they still fear those places as floods will come again and wash them away as it is still rainy season, government has to help them.

However, Kabugho Harriet the area councilor of the most affected division in Kasese municipality said that people in camps are those who were mostly affected, adding that these people are not there because of free food and other donations but in pain.
