Lock down affects student’s future..Says MMU guild president

Guild president of Mountains of the Moon University Mr. Muhimbise Erius has said that lock down which is a preventive measure of covid-19 that was put in place by the YK Museveni president of Uganda has greatly affected the future of students.

While speaking to our reporter today morning at Gardens restaurant in Fort portal municipality, Muhimbise revealed that the government should think about the reopening of schools mostly high learning institutions because they are able to follow the guidelines of the ministry of health and the president’s directives as some courses have little number of students and they can also study in shifts for courses with high number of students.

Muhimbise asked parents, guardians to support their children during this lock down time so as to adopt the habit of studying without teachers or lecturers.
He advised students find other means of learning as the schools, institutions and universities are still closed like; online studying, borrowing books from school libraries and put more emphasis on revision.
