Another COVID 19 Patient Admitted at Fort Portal Regional Referal Hospital.RRH

Just two weeks after the discharge of the COVID 19 patient at Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital (FRRH), another male patient has been admitted at the facility.

Dr. Adaku Alex the Hospital Director FRRH, says the Patient a resident of Kasese District tested positive to COVID 19 this week and was admitted at Bwera Hospital Isolation Ward before being transferred to the Regional referral hospital last evening for further management.

According to Adaku, the patient had travelled to Congo in the previous weeks where he could have been infected adding that on his return, he was taken to an isolation unit.     

The Hospital Director, told our reporter this morning that if the community do not adhere to preventive measures put in place, the COVID 19 community cases could increase. He says the facility has 26 patient capacity and has trained health workers to manage them in case of the rapid spread.
