A MAN SUSPECTED TO BE A THIEF KILLED AND DUMPED IN KISENYI

Police in fort portal is investigating circumstances under which a man in his late 20’s have been found dead in kisenyi, west division, fort portal municipality today morning

According to the residents who never wanted publicity, they were surprised in the morning when they were going to church to find a stranger man badly injured lying in one of the corridors which prompted them to tip on the LC1 chairperson who called police and to reach on him he was found dead.

Residents believe that he might have been killed in a mob and dumped there because some of them acknowledged him to be a thief that had been beaten by angry residents after getting him stealing some time back

Afande Solomon Mugisa, the Rwenzori West Community Liaisons officer says that the deceased was severely hit in the head and might have succumbed to the serious injuries. He condemned the act and called upon the public to always report misunderstandings to police instead of resorting to mob justice.

Mugisa says that the body of the deceased was taken to Fort Portal Regional Referral hospital mortuary and called upon those who have a missing person to check with police.
