ANTI CORRUPTION WEEK LAUNCH 2021 AT FAIRWAY HOTEL

The press conference to launch the activities of the Anti Corruption Week for 2021 started with like minded Anti-Corruption Organisations meeting at fairway hotel Kampala . Under  this year’s theme; promoting active citizen participation in social accountability 
A series of activities planned in strict adherence to COVID-19 SOPs include; select district integrity promotion forum meetings, community outreaches in partnership with @IGGUganda to build consciousness on rights & responsibilities, an anti-corruption convention, CSOs at national and local levels join efforts in the Corruption fight.

Many Anti-corruption activities will take place across to commemorate Anti-Corruption day 09/12/2021
Anti-Corruption Week activities bring together stakeholders in the fight against corruption including Government, CSOs, media fraternity, & citizens to raise awareness & review progress in the fight against corruption & draw a roadmap towards eradicating the vice.

In mid- western (Rwenzori ) Uganda RAC is going to host the inter-agency   where IGG will take lead and we are beginning on 24/11/2021 in kitagwenda where they will have an IAAF engagement between the district leaders   and  the citizens  and on 25/11/2021 they will have an anti-corruption convention at kalya courts where all local leaders will be invited  so as to discus issues on coruuption in our region said “miss Angella Byangwa”  Executive Director Rwenzori anti-corruption coalition 

Through the Anti-Corruption Campaign/week, CSOs will provide opportunities and platforms for citizens to engage duty bearers on issues of transparency and accountability, as well as share experiences and evidence on effects of corruption in their communities.
