BUHESI TOWN COUNCIL REALISES A 39MILLION BUDGET DECLINE FOR 2020/2021

Buhesi town council yesterday, passed a 145million budget for the financial year 2020/2021, realizing a 39million decline from the previous year 184 million.
According to Mr. Monday Wilson, Mayor Buhesi town council, they have reduced the budget because the government has reduced the road fund and DDEG funds from 50 to 40million and from 20 to 18 million respectively, which he says will affect development somehow.
Mr. Monday says that priority sectors for the next financial year will be works and infrastructure which was allocated 47.8million shillings, human resource 29.9million, administration 20.6million council and committees 11.9million, health and environment 11.5million amongst other sectors.
Monday is calling upon councilors to be vigilant and intensify monitoring of different government projects and the technical staff to avoid misappropriating the tax payers’ money by using it for their own benefit.
