Crocodiles terrorize residents in Kasese district.
Ahimbisibwe Joseph 52 years was attacked by the crocodile along the shores Lake George on Hamkungu fish landing site while fetching water living his left arm seriously injured.
Joseph was speaking to us while on a hospital bed at Kilembe Mines hospital when he narrated his story.
Ezuma Pontius the chief warden Queen Elizabeth national park confirmed that he received the information last Saturday pertaining the crocodile attack on a resident in Hamkungu.
He added that a team of experts was sent at the scene Hamkungu landing site in Lake Katwe sub-county in Kasese district to monitor the situation but later was captured the crocodile and took it to a safer place.
He warned residents against going near the water during night hours saying it puts their lives at a risk.
Douglas Mugara the chairperson Lc1 of this area says the attacks of crocodiles on the people around is not a new thing, however they continue asking themselves where these animals come from because they were originally not in the lake.
Prosile Tumusiime says the capturing of this crocodile has not reduced their fear saying that the one that terrorizes them still lives within; revealing that it is bigger than the captured.
