PUBLIC CAUTIONED AGAINST USING VIOLENCE TO SOLVE MISSUNDERSTANDINGS

The Rwenzori west community liaisons officer Afande Solomon Mugisa has cautioned the public against using violence to solve misunderstandings.

Mugisa said this during a community reconciliation meeting between the residents of Kyankaara zone A in Harugongo sub county where residents accuse their fellows of witch craft and threaten to harm them.

The residents accuse miss Katusabe Yusta of witch craft, saying that she bewitched their children to run mad and they in turn threatened to harm her.

 Lc3 chair person Harugongo sub county Mr. Godfrey Musumba cautioned residents against taking laws in their hands and called for reconciliation.

The Youths have been warned against fueling tribalism but cooperate, form groups to benefit from government programs.

The Call was sounded by Hon. Jackson Kafuuzi the Deputy Attorney General and MP kyaka south in Kyegegwa while speaking to the Rwenzori NRM Youth leaders held at the Youth Center in Nyabukara Fort Portal.

Richard Rwabuhinga the district Chairperson Kabarole warned the youths against being overtaken by the political propagandists as the country heads for the 2021 general elections.

Hon. Ruhunda Alex the fort portal mp encouraged the youths to invest in education if they are to be strong leaders in future.

Eng.Muganzi Charles urged the youth to be ambassadors of development in their areas through forming cooperative groups to enable government support them.

As one way of improving on household incomes and curbing stunted growth among children in Rwenzori region, Aprohen Uganda has donated Amarathus DOODO seedlings to Nyakasura School agric Business Club.

Sam Kalyebara the senior Agronomist and extension worker at APROHEN UG encouraged students not to look at Agriculture as a venture for people who have failed in life but rather take it as a priority when it comes to income generation.

The Director APROHEN UGANDA Doctor Namara Apolo applauded the Nyakasura School management for giving chance to students to practice Agriculture as a source of income at school adding that most schools have ventured into Class Academics forgetting that agriculture is the backbone of Uganda.
